Technafrik Service

Healthcare Technology & Digital Solutions

Technafrik helps hospitals, clinics and laboratories in Ghana move equipment and maintenance operations off paper and spreadsheets and onto SmartMed, our healthcare operations platform, and supports the rollout end to end.

The problem

Most facilities can't answer basic questions quickly: how many infusion pumps do we have, where are they, which are overdue for service, what did the last repair cost. Records live in ledgers, WhatsApp messages and individual memories. Maintenance is reactive, downtime is invisible until it reaches a patient, and audits are a scramble.

What Technafrik does

  • Equipment audit and data capture — every asset tagged, registered and located.
  • SmartMed configuration for your sites, departments, roles and approval rules.
  • Migration of existing maintenance records and schedules.
  • Training for biomedical, clinical and management users.
  • Ongoing platform support, and integration with your maintenance contract if we hold it.

What changes for you

  • One register for every asset, with status, location, history and documents.
  • Preventive maintenance planned and tracked, with reminders before work falls due.
  • Breakdowns reported in seconds and turned into work orders with an audit trail.
  • Dashboards for uptime, workload and compliance you can take into a management meeting.
  • A defensible record when a regulator or accreditation body asks.

Where it applies

Hospitals, clinics, diagnostic and reference laboratories, biomedical engineering departments, medical equipment distributors and hospital groups.

FAQ

Do we need SmartMed to work with Technafrik?

No — we also provide maintenance without it. But most of the value here comes from having one system of record.

Can SmartMed run on our servers?

SmartMed is designed for hosted, on-premises and hybrid deployments; we agree the model during scoping.

How long does a rollout take?

A single site is typically weeks, not months, depending on how much equipment data has to be captured first.
